New Albums out today 03/29/2024 (Verberis, Jim White, Mutiilation, Coffins, Kelly Moran, NØ MAN, Frail Body, etc )

 

Ulcerate side project. Essential.

 

Some sort of cyber jazz metal that calls to mind Aphex Twin, Glenn Branca, Meshuggah, and Naked CIty. This is Álvaro Domene's 4th album this year. Very impressive.

Andy Bell and Ride have been pretty prolific recently and I won't complain.

Really well done mash up of screamo, grind, and post-rock. Saw these guys live last year and they smoked.

 

Members of Majority Rule. Killer post-hardcore.

 

Piano player who has collaborated with FKA Twigs, Yves Tumor, and Oneohtrix Point Never.

 

 This being Coffins' seventh full length doesn't really do justice to the sheer amount of music they have released though splits and eps. This hits.

 

 Really well done long-running black metal with synth and pagan elements.

 

I believe one of these guys is behind Shackleton. Sounds pretty interesting. Ambient-ish.

 

I haven't had time for this to sink in but I really liked their previous album. Raw black metal with just the right amount of melody and dissonance.

 

More good black metal.

 

And.... more black metal. These guys really dial in the melody and epic post-rock elements. Quite good.

 

This guy is in Total Negation and Vargnatt. Slightly weird, avant-garde black metal.

 

Jim White from Dirty Three. Cool, experimental, percussive.
