NEW ALBUMS OUT TODAY - 05/24/2024 - DIIV, Gastr Del Sol, Abul Mogard & Rafael Anton Irisarri, Richard Chartier

Work has been out of control but I'm starting to catch up. Today is a pretty slow release day so it is an easy post.

 

 Their first full length since 2019's stellar album Deceiver. Indie, shoegaze, post punk-ish. 

 

 The band is long defunct but this is a collection of unreleased recordings from some forfathers of Post/Math/Experimental-rock. David Grubbs and Jim O'Rourke.

 

Rafael Anton Irisarri has been really prolific as of late. Especially with collaboration. This keeps up his standard of ambient bliss. I have not previously heard of Abul Mogard but this has peaked my interest. 

Pinkcourtesyphone member. Ultra minimal drone for contemplative listening and considered atmospheres.

Other stuff came out but nothing that excites me enough to write about. I'm gonna do some catch up posts soon with stuff I missed covering over the last month or so. Enjoy the weekend!
